The increasing complexity of media and the constant innovation driven by digital technology, coupled with the demise of the media agency research department means than much of the essential information that flowed naturally from supplier to buyer no longer does so.

This problem is further exacerbated when one considers the increasing new areas of responsibilty marketers are now dealing with, across an ever increasing number of service providers.

In an age of real time, online communication, this has effectively created a knowledge gap, which many media proprietors are attempting to address with little success.
